Make a right on Commerce and continue down until you reach 535 which is several blocks down on the right. He will be happy to see you.

July 5,2010 - spoke with Bro. Phillip Baptiste ,and his leg is still a problem for him. He has checked with two specialist and they informed him he could either have his leg amputated or replace it with a stiff leg - neither option excites him , so he will continue with the discomfort as is. He is still wanting to come home , but needs the readily available health care that the Atlanta area affords him.Brothers can call him any day, anytime to check on him

                    - visited with Bro Lucious Tyson and he informed me he recently experienced a respiratory distress situation so he currently uses his oxygen all day , rather than just at nite , until his condition improves. He welcomes calls from all brothers - but call ahead to make sure he's home before visiting.

                    - visited with Bro. Emmanuel Washington, who is getting up in age ,and his mind is begining to fail him.Calls to the family are appreiciated .

                    - visited with Bro. Anthony Emelle , he's doing find despite his doctor telling he has "14 different conditions" to deal with. He enjoys brothers calling him and appreciates visits - " cause sometimes it gets lonely here"

                    - spoke with Bro. Harry Pittman who is in the Veterans Administration nursing home in Alexandria/Pineville and he informed me we almost lost him last week - but after stays in CCU and ICU and eventually the recovery room - he pulled through. He appreciates calls and is hoping the club will organize a bus trip to come visit him. He says to tell everyone hello.

July 6,2010 - spoke with Bro. Herman Myles who just returned from a brief stay in the hospital due to the formation of a blood clot. They tried to open a vein in his leg to manange it - so he is getting around slowly but he hopes to be back at the club soon.

July 9,2010 - visited with Bro. Winteal Tuckerson , who is homebound for the most part but gets out to go to doctor appointment. He's "surviving" and not complaining but would  enjoy calls from members

                    - Spoke with Bro. Murray Lacey ,who was on his way to visit with his brother who is in ICU at Tulane Hospital who is  not doing very well , but for himself Bro. Lacey  says he's improving and making progress for a full recovery

                    - visited with
Bro. Alvin Lee at Tulane Hospital , after his knee replacement surgery and he discovered that his knee was in worst shape that he thought as the bone was not only rubbing  ' bone on bone ' but had been doing so for such a long time that mutiple bone chips were discovered and removed - but he is expecting a full recovery after re-hab for the next several months. He will be in the hospital, in room 7212 until Monday at least and would appreciate calls from members "as that would be the best medicine for him"
